The Future of Fish project is a unique partnership between Ashoka, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and Central, a design strategy firm. It takes a new approach in exploring the challenges facing the seafood industry to encourage sustainable methods of fishing that respect species harvest limits, preserve the marine environment and reduce bycatch.
Out of the necessity to be a method of displaying the progress and findings of a project and within a certain window of time, this site uses a unique method of navigation between stories and a separate dynamically updating custom navigation, with one marker referencing the current month, and others showing which of the past months have associated project information. In addition, it has a large number of content types and utilizes a common CMS to aid in administration.
